Taking Care Of Yourself

Having a major change in your life can bring stress on your nervous system, even happy changes such as moving house, changing job, pregnancy, the birth of a new baby, a child starting school, moving in together. Other stressful events include divorce, loss of a loved one, job loss, retirement, sexual difficulties. We might adjust in our heads but some times our hearts and nervous systems might take a bit longer to settle leading to an unsettled feeling which can result in anxiety and stress. Some times issues can pop up a long time after the situation has appeared to become normal.

Reconciling our hearts, nervous system and heads so that we feel content again is not something that will always happen naturally. An example of this can be illness which occurs in all shapes and forms from head aches, back pain, stomach upset, bowel problems, over active bladder, emotional chaos, anxiety, being in over care mode, hip problems, hormone problems, this list is endless really. Hypnotherapy can be a wonderful tool that we can use as a way of recreating harmony in our systems, it can help offset the body needing to take a break or alerting you through illness to the fact that you have not adjusted in wellness.
